Monthly Archives: April 2018

Starting soon

I want to apologize to those of you that have tried to contact me
via my cell phone. I’ve had problems with retrieving my calls
partially due to a change in my password. I’d appreciate it if
you’d like to contact me that you do so through my home phone
number, 205-285-9170. The market opens the last two Thursday’s in
May, the 24th. This year, the growers and vendors voted to have the
market open on days of rain; the only exception might be concerning
severe weather threats. If that happens, the cancellation will be
posted through this message, and the civic center will be notified;
you can call the civic center at 205-631-5679. We’re trying
something new by selling gift certificates. They’ll be sold in
groups of five $5.00 coupons for $25.00 and can be only used for
produce; they can’t be used for honey, baked goods, etc. On the
second week of operation, May 31st, the Library Reading Kickoff will
take place by a morning of outdoor children’s activities; more
information will be posted in the near future. We look forward to the
upcoming season.
